Whimsy and natural light were key directives in the design of this urban bungalow.
The traditional form of the home is personalized with a modern color palette.
By vaulting the Great Room and Rear Hallway ceilings, the opportunity for added natural light and art display space was created.

Space for gardening and outdoor living were also priorities for this project and a challenge on such a small lot. A covered patio was carved out of the east side of the home and is accessed from three rooms in the home. A roof top deck with raised planting beds was created above the Garage. The deck is accessed from the Owner’s Art Studio on the 2nd floor and boasts a variety of vegetables, herbs, fresh flowers and mature shade trees.
Positioning of the house on the lot maximizes the front yard and curb appeal of the home. A winding path
meanders between lush and diverse landscaping and connects the tree-lined sidewalk to the front porch.
